So after yesterdays sleeping day of taking 3 naps, I awoke from the last nap needing food. I wondered around town. I found a restaurant called, “Chinese Hamburger”. That is probably the most discussing idea of a restaurant ever. No, I didn’t eat there. The idea of the Chinese’s take on an American tradition with it wrapped in Greek culture isn’t exactly what I wanted for food. Seeing this didn’t help the nausea. Ewwwwww.
This morning, I woke up feeling so much better. Breakfast was much better today. I took a walk around town, wandered through a moat, and did some last minute souvenir shopping. I don’t want to get back and realize I forgot about a gift for someone. I cant believe its my last full day in Rhodes. Better live it up, sick or not.
After an eventful shopping morning, it was time for my nap on the beach. I am going to go into thesis thinking about the mostly stress free summer of naps on beaches and wonder why I jumped back into the hectic lifestyle of sleepless architecture. When I got to the beach I had about an hour of grueling sun, then the clouds came. Out of no where, there were thick black clouds overhead. I decided to set up shop until it rained. I was able to fall quickly asleep, and didnt wake up until I heard thunder. Its kinda hard to sleep after that excitement. No rain though.

I am not an author. To be quite honest, I always hated English class. I write so I may share my experiences and remember the man I met on a bus who treated me to dinner with his family, paying and booking a hotel only to find out its out of business, fake crying in the Athens airport to get a ticket home, or remember the strangers who looked out for me on a bus. Some live, experience, and are fulfilled by what’s in their backyards. I find there is something truly exhilarating about cramming as many possessions into a bag as possible, only to complain you brought too many. This is my life out of a suitcase, hope you enjoy.
